Schools, colleges and universities are increasingly aware of the needs of disabled students and students with specific learning difficulties.

There's plenty of useful information on all aspects of student life available through ‘Skill’ - the National Bureau for Students with Disabilities.

Action on Access aims to ensure that disability issues are embedded in widening participation and partnership initiatives. There is a wide range of disability-focused resources for practitioners. Many of these resources were developed by the National Disability Team.

HEFCE is committed to enhancing provision for disabled students in higher education. HEFCE seeks to achieve this by supporting higher and further education institutions in this area, maintaining the overall stability of funding to them, and ensuring that disability considerations inform the broader equality, learning and teaching and widening participation agendas.
