National Primary Project (Professor Fluffy)
Professor Fluffy works with many primary schools in the Kent and Medway area to help introduce university life to children, not only by visiting schools but also by inviting children into local colleges and universities. The aim is to raise aspirations and awareness of Higher Education amongst parents and children alike.
Professor Fluffy gives children the chance to:
- discover the educational options available to them
- work with current undergraduate students
- visit a university
The earlier a child thinks about the future and the earlier they formulate their ambitions, the more likely they are to achieve them. By introducing primary children to university in a fun way we are helping them to see that university could be a choice for them.
